Allow Me To Introduce You To

My father-in-law, Paul Sr.
He's the crazy one running on the treadmill:
No one is making him run, mind you. There isn't someone out of the camera's view with a .357 aimed at him. There are no "unfortunate" pictures of him and a woman-other-than-his-wife that someone is threatening him with. There are no Chicago goodfellas promising him a pair of fitted cement boots. No, he does this because he wants to. Go figure.

He runs 5 miles at a time, 3 times a week. When the weather is nice, he'll also go for walks with my MIL. They put in five miles at a time doing that as well. Except, with the walks, hills are included.

One day, since moving here, I witnessed my FIL run his usual 5 miles in the morning and then, because the weather was agreeable and my MIL wanted to, they went for a 5 mile walk that afternoon. He finished up the evening with lifting weights for 1 1/2 hrs with the neighbor.

Did you get that all took place ONE day? I haven't done anything similar all of 2007. He is definitely an inspiration. Not only because he keeps so active and keeping healthy and fit is important to him. No, it's because HE'S SEVENTY!!!

Yes, SEVENTY! Now I say to you, put down the Pepsi, get off the computer and go DO something.

I was speaking to myself by the way.
